Purifier - Breath Free, Drink Pure

By Sharon Albright

Are you aware of the huge amount of dust and bacteria that you breathe and drink? Having a purifier in the house has become a necessity. There are various types of purifiers depending on the material you want to purify. Some of the common ones are the air purifier and water purifier.

Various environmental researches claim that the air inside the home is dirtier than the air outside. Thus an air purifier has become an essential commodity to keep your house clean. Air purifier helps to clean dust particles, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, harmful smoke particles, airborne gases and other allergens.

Various techniques like mechanical filters, absorbents like charcoal, electrostatic charges, ionizers are used as purifiers. The HEPA filters make use of the powerful filters to catch harmful pollens, bacteria, allergens and other pollutants. The ozone air purifier emits ozone in the air, thus attracting harmful substances and making them harmless. The ionic purifier gives negative ions in the air, attracting bacteria, viruses, and dust mites. These particles fall to the floor when they become heavy, and are vacuumed up.

Several factors like visual appeal, noise level, and frequency of filter replacement are important facts that can influence a customer while purchasing an air purifier. The HEPA filters are capable of purifying 99.7% allergens in the air. They serve best for those people suffering from asthma and other respiratory disorders.

Water purifier removes contaminants from raw water, making it suitable for drinking. The various pollutants that can be found in water include bacteria, algae, viruses, fungi, minerals and other man made chemical pollutants. The water purifier makes use of several techniques like filtration, distillation, screening, storage, coagulation and flocculation, disinfection, and sedimentation. Water purifiers can use other methods like carbon filtration, boiling, distillation reverse osmosis, ion exchange, electrode ionization, water conditioning and plumbo-solvency reduction.

It is always possible to carry water purifiers to where ever you travel. Drinking water from restaurants can be safe if you use the SteriPEN water purifier. All you need to do is stir the glass of water with the unit. With the help of UV light, it kills all bacteria, thus making the water clean and safe for drinking.
